Welcome to the USCG Accepted - Conducting Mariner Assessment Program. This on-line training program has been reviewed by the USCG and meets the requirement of Coast Guard Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 19-14, Policy On Qualified Assessors for persons who will assess the competency of candidates for STCW endorsements. In addition, this course also meets the 'training' requirements for Designated Examiner aboard towing vessels. The following links provide further details:

Conducting Mariner Assessment (3 hour course) is designed to familiarize the deck officer (usually a chief mate or master) with the contents of the U.S. Coast Guard's "Assessor's Manual for Conducting Mariner Assessments" and techniques, procedures, and practices in conducting assessments on board ship. It prepares the attendee for acting as a shipboard assessor.
