Mariners today find themselves in an increasingly computerized work environment -- for shipboard communications, navigation, administration, cargo systems and engine controls. Similarly our personal communications and entertainment have come to rely heavily on mobile devices like smart phones, iPads, Kindles and laptops.
This new course form SOCP provides maritime personnel with a comprehensive overview of the range of threats that information systems and devices are subject to, and the practices recommended to minimize those vulnerabilities.
